Plant-Based Diet , Give Back Jewelry and Stretching.

Welcome to my blog. Why, you might ask, a blog on life, jewelry and beyond??? Well, I realized I wanted a place to talk about the things that inspire me when I design my jewelry. What makes me happy, think and lose sleep at night. So please, read it, forward it to a friend (they can sign up below) and tell me what you think of it. Let me know what you would like me to talk about in this space. It's my desire and greatest hope to build a community around thoughtful wellness and beautiful things.

Yipeee...now let's do this!
I am currently obsessing over Plant-based diets.
As Socrates said, "Worthless people live only to eat and drink; people of worth eat and drink only to live."
Along comes the movie Game Changers on Netflix. This movie seems to have opened up the dialog about plant-based diets with not just women but men.
The plant-based diet can be molded into so many things: paleo, vegan, keto, vegetarian, gluten-free…it’s easy. I am about 80% plant-based and I love eating this way. If a diet is too strict it will be hard to follow. A healthy diet that you believe in and follow consistently is a great thing. It might take a few weeks for a new way of eating to become a habit. Once you are there…just stay consistent.
My breakfast is almost always a smoothie
One of my favorite recipes for breakfast is my Pineapple Mint Smoothie.
I keep my recipes simple and I use the eyeball technique.
1/2 spinach
1/2 pineapple
a bunch of mint
Coconut water
Pineapple cleans out the mucus in your liver. Nobody wants any extra mucus!
Your liver loves Spinach.
My favorite piece for Winter gives back.
Purchase a Flake and we will donate for you to Give a Flake!
Aspen Snowmass launched the program Give a Flake as a way to turn our concerns of the environment into action.
50% of all sales of my Flake will be donated to help protect our winters with Aspen Snowmass.
Stretches that I do before I ski.
Before I go out and ski, I always get the body moving.  My favorite ski move is the side lunge.  I try to wake up the lateral movements using each leg individually.  You never know when you will be skiing on 1 leg.
Have fun with all of this!
